Driving licence to remain valid till July 31

NASHIK :

As the country is under lock-down due to corona virus outbreak, central government has extended the validity of various documents such as driving license, permits and registration documents/papers of vehicles that got expired on February 1 or after. Such documents will now be valid till July 31, 2020. It has also instructed to transport department in all states not to charge late fee for any RTO related work.

Renewal of driving license, permits and other related documents is going on at slow pace in RTO office due to limited manpower. This decision has been taken to prevent gathering of people.  It has also been instructed not to charge late fee from those vehicle owners who could not pay fee for vehicle registration, renewal of fitness certificate or other related works during lock down period.

Do not stop commercial vehicles for not having permit or PUC certificate. As many are stepping out in search of employment, they should allow to go, instructed The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways.
