Vaccination stalled in Deolali

DEOLALI CAMP: The vaccination campaign in Deolali Camp has been stalled due to the unavailability of vaccine stock. Even though the camp was ahead of other towns in terms of ‘vaccinated public’ and treated many Covid-19 patients successfully, now, the vaccination process has been stalled to the lack of vaccine doses. The Cantonment General Hospital was supposed to receive Covaxin doses yesterday, but the delivery date got postponed.

The hospital received 500 Covidshield doses on June 23rd and hasn’t received any after those. According to District Collector and District Health Officer, the district is facing minor difficulties in vaccination. After PM Modi announced free vaccination for 18+ from 21st June, the hospital witnessed the rush of youngsters. However, the storage of vaccination doses is hampering the drive.
