Vaccination must for students pursuing education abroad

NASHIK: It has been made mandatory for the citizens going abroad from India to get vaccinated and all the students who want to go abroad for higher education will also be vaccinated from June 1 as a special case by the district administration, informed District Collector Suraj Mandhare.

According to a circular issued by the incident manager of the vaccination campaign and Deputy District Collector Ganesh Misal, the students bring along an I-20 or DS-160 form, letter of confirmation of admission, I-Card and passport to participate in the vaccination campaign which will be held at Mahakavi Kalidas auditorium on Tuesday (June 1) from 12 noon.

State Environment Minister Aditya Thackeray had made an appeal in this regard. In Pune and Mumbai Municipal Corporation areas, planning has been done in that manner. On the lines of this, it has been decided to vaccinate those students going abroad from Nashik district. To get education from a reputed university abroad is a very important thing in the life of a student and this special vaccination session has been organized so that the students in the district do not suffer any academic loss due to lack of vaccination, said the District Collector.

100 students to be given Covidshield vaccine The number of students in Nashik going abroad is about 100. The Covidshield vaccine will be given to these students as it is recognized in the United States, Europe and most other countries. Vaccines required for the vaccination will be made available to Nashik Municipal Corporation from the district vaccine store.
