Aurangabad: NCP leader and Baramati MP Supriya Sule today (Wednesday) said the state and central governments need to work together in harmony and seriousness for children orphaned during the second COVID wave. In her tweet, she stated that many families have been devastated by the coronavirus and numbers of children have become orphan due to corona.
The death of working parents has put a question mark on the future of many children, she said. For this, the government needs to take initiative and the central government and the state government need to work in harmony and seriously. Children are the future of the country. So we have to shape their future.
Sule has also reminded that it is the moral responsibility of all of us to help these children. Notably, the Centre last month said that all children, who have lost both parents, the surviving parent, legal guardians or adoptive parents to coronavirus, will receive financial aid under the PM-CARES for Children’s scheme. Many state governments have also announced to help children orphaned in second wave.
