NASHIK: State Transport Minister Anil Parab has announced financial assistance of Rs 5 lakh each for the families of MSRTC workers who died due to Corona. He also asked to absorb the heirs of the deceased workers in the service in the next six months. On the occasion of the 73rd anniversary of the Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC), Minister Anil Parab congratulated the officers and employees of the entire state in a programme held online.
He said that the performance of MSRTC staff during the Covid-19 period is remarkable and people from different states have been able to reach the village safely. The government is trying to buy new buses. At the same time, MSRTC is benefiting from Corporation’s private schemes like tyre remoulding and freight.
At the same time, MSRTC is trying to set up its own petrol and diesel pumps, the Minister also said. Nashik divisional controller Rajendra Kumar Patil, divisional transport officer Kailas Patil, divisional storekeeping officer Upendra More and others attended the online programme at Nashik divisional office.
