Research competition is important to give scope for hidden talents: Dr Mhaisekar

Nashik: Avishkar research competition has been started with inspiration by Chancellor to provide a platform to hidden talents of students and to inculcate a research attitude among them. The role of research competitions is important in it, stated Vice Chancellor of Maharashtra University of Health Science (MUHS) Dr Dilip Mhaisekar.

He inaugurated primary selection rounds of Avishkar-2019 on Wednesday at MUHS. Dr Mhaisekar further said that students should do research which will become useful to deal with issues in society. They do qualitative research.

The objective behind Avishkar competition is that should get a boost and guide for research, to get a platform for their research and people’s approval. Pro-Vice-Chancellor Dr Mohan Khamgaonkar stated that the presentation of the research project will become important and use of a scientific method for this is needed.

Taking into account the needs of society, researchers should present innovative research projects in Avishkar competition and the university will give a special encouragement for this. A total of 243 students and teachers have taken part in this two-day competition in six categories and presented their research projects.
