It has come to light that personal assistant Muniraj Meena of famous playback singer Suresh Wadkar who came to inspect the plot in Nashik was asked to pay a ransom of Rs 20 crore. A case in this regard has been registered against two unknown persons in the Upnagar police station. It has come to light that Wadkar has purchased a plot near the Nashik Road area to start a music training institute. Therefore, his personal assistant Muniraj Meena (49, resident of Vasai, dist. Palghar) went to the spot at 11.30 am on Tuesday to inspect the same place.
At that time two suspects came there and stopped Meena from entering the concerned premises.
