NASHIK: The National Biodiversity Authority is inviting proposals for the national level Biodiversity Award 2023. The state’s Biodiversity Board has sent a letter to the forest department appealing to the public to participate in these awards. Nashik west forest department has released a detailed information leaflet on social media.
Deputy Conservator of Forests Pankaj Garg said that there is an opportunity to send proposals for the award to individuals and organizations working hard for the conservation of bio-diversity. Since the year 2012 award is being given to various individuals and organizations. Entries have been invited for the National Biodiversity Award-2023. The deadline for proposing the office in Chennai is November 30. Entries can be sent in five categories.
These include the Sustainable Use and Conservation of Biological Resources, the Biodiversity Committee, the best group for the conservation of biodiversity, the organizations or individuals who have successfully implemented a fair and equitable dividend process, and the Outstanding People Biodiversity Register.
