NASHIK: A suicide attempt by a Father by setting himself on fire in a church at Main Road’s Shalimar area, known as the city’s main market, has caused a stir in the whole area. The church witnessed a shocking event during Sunday worship.
According to police sources, the church committee had accused Father of financial fraud. As the church’s committee didn’t allow him to present his side, Father threw petrol on himself and attempted suicide in a church.

He came under immense mental stress as the committee didn’t listen to him, and thus, he attempted suicide in front of Mahadharmaguru Sharad Gaikwad at St. Thomas Church in Shalimar. The injured has been admitted to the district hospital for treatment. He sustained 18% burn injuries.
