Police seized 162 two wheelers in three days in Nashik

NASHIK :

Various measures are being taken by the administration to prevent the spread of corona in the city. However, there are instances where citizens are roaming around without any reason.

Nashik Police Commissioner Vishwas Nangare Patil has noticed that the citizens use of the two wheeler vehicle is still going on despite the restrictions on petrol sales, and they have issued orders to seize the motorists on the roads for next three months without cause. During last three days, a total of 162 bicycles have been seized for next three month from different parts of the city. This bike owner will have to stop his bike for the next three months.

To prevent the growing contagion of ‘Corona’, a communication ban has been implemented across the country. Section-144 has been implemented in the district, including the city, with the Prevention of Disease Prevention Act, Disaster Management Act. Accordingly, the police are effectively implementing it. Citizens are prohibited from leaving the house for the Morning Walk. Police have taking action against 34 joggers for violating the order.

In the backdrop of ‘Corona’, the district administration had appealed to the citizens not to leave the house except for emergency and urgent reasons. However, some amateur citizens were out of the house on the occasion of ‘Morning Walk’, ignoring the call of the district administration. These same citizens are now on the police radar. The process of filing a direct crime against joggers has been started in all the police stations.
