Heavy rain accompanied by strong winds, thunders and lightning struck the city and adjoining areas. The rains from light to moderate and at some places heavy were continued overnight in the neighbouring areas too.

Waterlogging was witnessed in several low-lying areas including key market places of Main Road, Ravivar Karanja, Shalimar, flower market at Saraf bazaar. The heavy rains had also caused power failure at many places for some time.

At suburb Nashik Road, heavy water accumulation was witnessed at Bytco Chowk, while several streets were inundated by the heavy spell of water which lashed for more than two hours from moderate to heavy intensity. The collapse of the underground drainage system was also seen as one of the reasons for the overflowing of water on the streets.

While the intensity of rains was high in the catchment areas of the dams, a rise in water level was seen in river Godavari for a second consecutive day as the release of water from dams into the Godavari was continued. Many small temples at the bank of the river were inundated by the heavy rains. All in all, Nashikites again experienced a flood-like situation.
