Park will be centre of development: Aditya Thackeray

NASHIK: Shiv Sena chief Balasaheb Thackeray was keen on saving forests, trees and gardens and developing them, said Aaditya Thackeray, Minister of State for Environment and Tourism. Shiv Sena chief Balasaheb Thackeray’s park will be constructed on a seven and a half acre plot in the park at Gangapur Road with the efforts of Leader of Opposition Ajay Boraste to development of artists.

Speaking on the occasion, Aditya Thackeray said that as per the instructions given by Shiv Sena chief, Shiv Sena has always done 80 per cent social work and 20 per cent politics. The work was inaugurated by unveiling the cornerstone at the hands of dignitaries. On this occasion, a statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji was unveiled, made by sculptor Prasanna Tambat.

Urban Development Minister Eknath Shinde said that it was important to take initiative to save the environment in the face of global warming. While introducing the program, Ajay Boraste welcomed the guests by presenting the details of the park. Program was hosted by Seema Pethkar. Shiv Sena party workers and women office bearers were present in large numbers.

Minister Dada Bhuse, Bhaulal Chaudhary, MP Hemant Godse, Mayor Satish Kulkarni, Standing Committee Chairman Ganesh Geete, Leader of Opposition Ajay Boraste, Former Mayor Sudhakar Badgujar, Group Leader Vilas Shinde, District Collector Suraj Mandhare, Municipal Commissioner Kailas Jadhav and others were present at the occasion.
