NASHIK: The new variant has added to the headaches while raising cases of Covid. Therefore, there is an atmosphere of fear everywhere and precautionary measures are being taken by the government. The year end has arrived in the next few days. But now that Omicron has raised fears, it will affect New Year’s party celebrations. Hoteliers are also worried.
Everyone is ready to say goodbye to 2021 and welcome the new year. Planning for the New Year’s Eve celebration is underway everywhere. The celebration was banned last year due to the Corona crisis. So the citizens had to celebrate at home. New Year’s eve was expected to be celebrated with a drop in the number of Corona patients this year, but the new variant Omicron has spread fear.
Due to the low number of patients this year, preparations and planning for welcoming 2022 have already started. As the number of patients is decreasing, the government had also relaxed the restrictions.
Therefore, preparations were started this year considering the possibility of New Year’s celebrations. As the situation is improving, various hotels in the city and various groups of youth, including religious, social and cultural organizations are preparing for the New Year.
Meanwhile, the administration had issued regulations. There are also curfew orders. However, some restrictions have been imposed on the background of Omicron this year as well. Last year, it was not possible to do so due to corona.
Many people had planned New Year celebrations this year as most of the restrictions were relaxed till Christmas day but the state government has tightened the restrictions on the backdrop of Omicron, and a night curfew has been imposed in Nashik.
This is because young people are preparing for the New Year’s celebrations. As restrictions are imposed, there are signs that the celebration will have to be done at home again this year.
