NMC starts three more centres

NASHIK: After receiving a decent response for its first 24*7 vaccination centre at Bytco Hospital, the Nashik Municipal Corporation has launched more three such centres to aid Nashikites. The corporation started the centre at Mico Hospital, Indira Gandhi Hospital, and Morwadi Hospital.

The corporation is leaving no stone unturned to promote vaccination among its citizens. With the rising cases of Covid-19’s new variant Omicron, it has become all the more important for everyone to get vaccinated and keep themselves immune.

NMC started its first centre at Bytco Hospital on December 13 and waited for a decent response to start the other centres. The basic aim behind the centre was to aid those citizens who are not able to get the shots during the daytime. An official stated that 40% of citizens visit early morning or evening. Very few people visit the centre at night.

He added that almost 115 beneficiaries got vaccinated at the first centre daily. The three new locations have been selected keeping in mind the workers who can get their shot in the morning or evening. The Satpur and Cidco (Ambad) centres will cater to workers employed in their respective areas, while the workers in the business hub can rely on Panchavati Hospital.

“The first round-the-clock vaccination centre started at Nashik Road received a decent response, and hence, we decided to introduce three more centres. We expect the same response in these centres and aim to make the whole Nashik immune. The ones busy in the daytime can get themselves vaccinated at these centres.”- Dr. Bapusaheb Nagargoje, NMC medical superintendent.
