NASHIK: Municipal Commissioner Kailas Jadhav has on Friday informed that planning is being made to start the city bus service from the first week of July 2021. The discussions regarding construction, CNG supply and mobile app in view of this were held in the meeting on Friday. Around 90% of work has been completed and construction of depot at Tapovan and Nashik Road nears to completion. The trials will be conducted between June 27 to 30 to start the bus service. Nashik Municipal Corporation is planning to start 50 buses in the first phase.
They would be started on Tapovan via Bardan Phata, district civil hospital, Satpur, Ashoknagar, Shramiknagar; Tapovan via Symbiosis college Pavannagar, Uttamnagar; Tapovan to Pathardi village via Dwarka, Nagji hospital, Indiranagar, Vanvaibhav; Shivaji Chowk, Lekha Nagar, Mhasrul, Borgad via Symbiosis college; Tapovan to Bhagur via Shalimar, Dwarka, Bytco, Deolali Camp; Nashik Road via Bardan Phata, Dwarka, College Road, Satpur VIP Carbon Naka via Bardan Phata; Nashik Road to Ambad via Dwarka, Lekhanagar and Garware point; Nashik Road via Nimani route, Jail Road, Sailani Baba, Nandurgaon, Nandur Naka, Tapovan and Nashik Road via Tapoval route Bytco, Dwarka, Shalimar, CBS and Panchavati.
There will be a total of 240 bus halts on these nine routes. It is under consideration to start the bus service from the first week of July and a detailed review will be taken on June 25. The training has been given to conductors and drivers and the rest will get it in the next 15 days.
They will also plan to start connecting bus service to Ojhar airport, Trimbakeshwar and Kasara local trains. It is also under consideration to prepare routes for Nashik darshan, Sula wines and boat club. It is also under consideration to construct a shopping mall in the campus of Tapovan and Nashik Road depot campus to increase the revenue of the corporation, informed the Municipal Commissioner.
