NMC gives permission for 850 housing projects

Nashik Municipal Corporation (NMC) has permitted a total of 850 housing projects which got stuck due to coronavirus outbreak. To revive stalled economy, government during lockdown 4-0 had allowed to restart construction activities. Town planning department has received new 15 proposals.

The state government in an order issued on April 17, 2020 had asked developers to submit application with the town planning department and to restart their construction activities on some rules and conditions. Accordingly, developers and architects applied with the town planning department.

Following inspection of arrangement for construction labourers, town planning department is giving permission for developers. With permission to total of 850 housing projects so far, stalled construction activities will get impetus now.

As construction activities were stopped during lockdown, migrant labourers and workers were returned to their home towns.  As a result, construction business in the state has been stalled. Developers have now restarted their construction activities with help of local labourers and migrant labourers who are stayed at construction sites.
