New faces dominate Panchayat poll results

NASHIK: After the election results of Peth, Surgana, Kalwan, Dindori, Deola and Niphad Nagar Panchayats were announced yesterday, the established in Nagar Panchayats were received a big jolt, while new faces shown dominance over the entire outcome. BJP’s seats decreased while MNS, NCP succeeded in opening their account. It was clear in the results that the Mahavikas Aghadi gained ground in Niphad and Kalwan.

Kalwan: NCP wins nine seats, proves dominance– A direct battle between Union Minister of State for Health Dr Bharati Pawar and NCP MLA Nitin Pawar took place in Kalwan Nagar Panchayat.

The reputation of both of them was at stake here. Meanwhile, the results of 17 seats were declared and the MVA has established undisputed dominance by winning 14 seats. MLA Pawar has once again won and Kautik Pagar’s power has once again established on Kalwan Nagar Panchayat. Along with NCP, Shiv Sena got two seats and Congress got three seats. The BJP has to settle for just two seats. MNS has won one seat here.

Surgana: BJP largest party– In Surgana Nagar Panchayat polls, BJP emerged largest party with eight seats. Mahavikas Aghadi bagged six seats, CPI (M) 2, and NCP 1. Peth: NCP sweeps- The NCP has marched towards establishing power in Peth Nagar Panchayat. NCP has won 8 out of 17 seats. Sena got 4 seats, CPI (M) got 3 seats and BJP and Apaksha won one seat each. The Congress has been wiped out from Peth and has not been able to win a single seat. While the Sena has retreated, the CPI (M) has won three seats and was leading on one seat.

Niphad: Sena dominates– In the Niphad Nagar Panchayat elections, the ruling Niphad City Development Alliance Shiv Sena, Congress alliance has retained power. Sena bagged seven seats, while the front won four seats. The opposition Nationalist Congress Party has to settle for just 3 seats. Niphad City Development Alliance was led by former MLA Anil Kadam, Rajabhau Shelar and Rajendra Rathi. The NCP was led by MLA Dilip Bankar. Both of them and former MLAs had made the election of Niphad Nagar Panchayat a matter of prestige. BJP could not open its account.

Dindori: MVA rules– The results of all the candidates in the first and second rounds have come out. Elections were held for 17 seats. In this BJP has got 4 seats. Shiv Sena has bagged record 6 seats. Shiv Sena’s one seat was previously declared unopposed. The Congress has won two seats and the NCP five.

Deola: Clean sweep for BJP– Election results of 17 seats of Deola Nagar Panchayat have been declared. In this, BJP swept the polls by winning 15 out of 17 seats. The NCP has won two seats.

In the state, out of 106, results of 97 Nagar Panchayats have been obtained. Results of 9 Nagar Panchayats will be announced today. BJP got 24 Nagar Panchayats and 416 seats while NCP bagged 25 Nagar Panchayats and 387 seats. Congress won 18 Nagar Panchayats and 297 seats while Shiv Sena 14 Nagar Panchayats and 300 seats. In other words, Mahavikas Aghadi has got a total of 57 Nagar Panchayats and 976 seats while BJP has won 24 Nagar Panchayats and 416 seats.
