Nashik trekkers pay tribute to Siddhi Kamathe at Tringalwadi Fort

Nashik: A group of trekkers from Nashik have given a tribute to Siddhi Kamathe, a young trekking enthusiast. Kamathe fell from Hadsar fort in Junner tehsil of Pune as a group of 35 trekkers were going for cleaning the fort on the occasion of Shiv Jayanti.

The trekking enthusiast Kamathe (20) was from Chinpokali, Mumbai and was in second year’s graduation. She fell from a height of about 350 feet, after getting off balance.  The trekkers from Kalasubai Mitra Mandal group gave tribute to Siddhi at Tringalwadi Fort.

The members said that the conservation, cleaning of the fort is very important but more than that life of person is much important. Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj has never put life of any subordinate in danger. He has always taken care of his Mavala.

The trekkers said that as Siddhi was trekker and died at the fort. It was decided that the tribute will be given to her on fort only. On the occasion Bhagirath Marade, Balu Aarote, Abhijeet Kulkarni, Dr Mahendra Adole, Atmaram Mate and other group members were present.
