NASHIK: The 49th International Painting Competition was recently held in the Czech Republic. In this competition Vedant More a student of Class X has been awarded ‘Rose of Lidice’. The students of KK Wagh Universal School participated in this competition, out of which Vedant More, a student of Class Xth, has been honoured with the ‘Rose of Lidice’ award. Every year, the Czech Republic organizes an international children’s painting competition to commemorate children killed in World War II.
Against the backdrop of Corona, the competition was held online this year. A total of seven students of KK Wagh Universal School participated in this competition. Each student participated in this competition with two paintings a total of 14 submissions were given. Principal Amrit Rao expressed confidence in students and congratulated them on success.
Also, students Samiksha and Sanskriti Sonawane have received recognitional awards. A total of 11,213 students from all over the world participated in this competition. Art teacher Nilesh Chitte provided valuable guidance to the students through online practice during the lockdown, informed school officials. Balasaheb Wagh, president of the education society congratulated the students for their success.
