NASHIK :
Nashik Agriculture Market Produce Committee has decided to give centre warehouse land on lease basis for 29 years and has sought tenders for this. The land ownership will come to an end if it gives on lease basis for a long period and market committee will suffer loss. Taking this into account former chairman Shivaji Chumbhale has opposed this decision.
To give land on lease basis for a long term is like to sell land indirectly.
Due to this market committee cannot prepare any development plan on this land. If this land gives on lease basis after 11-month agreement, market committee will have complete ownership. Market committee can do constructions in future and can give it to cold storage, shopping mall and exhibition hall on rental basis and it will get profit through this, he said.
Permission from central government is required before transferring this land. It is improper and illegal to give this land on lease basis. Issue orders to cancel this decision, Chumbhale demanded in a memorandum to the divisional joint registrar, deputy district registrar, director (marketing), District Collector and District Guardian Minister.
