NASHIK: District Collector Suraj Mandhare on Sunday said that the patients suffering from mucormycosis will be treated free of cost under Mahatma Jyotirao Phule Jan Arogya Yojana and Ayushyaman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Janaarogya Yojana at eight hospitals in Nashik. Anti-fungal drugs and Amphotericin B vial are being provided free of cost to the hospitals through the District Civil Surgeon’s Office, Nashik.

In order to avail of the benefits of these schemes, patients need to be admitted to the hospitals covered under the schemes for treatment. Also, the schemes are being implemented in a cashless manner and in order to avail the benefits of the schemes, ration card and Aadhaar card have to be submitted while admitting patients to the hospital.

These documents should be submitted to the ‘Arogya Mitra’ of the hospital, he said further. If the documents are not available at the time of admission to the hospital, the benefit of the scheme can be availed by guaranteeing the hospital to fulfil the documents in writing. However, it will be necessary to submit documents within the prescribed period. In case the hospital refuses to give the benefit of the scheme, register a complaint with ‘Arogya Mitra’ in the hospital or the phone numbers mentioned below.
