NASHIK: As the Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) or ST Corporation is under financial distress it has decided to sell the scrap available at various bus depots. The auction will be held today (July 8) at the divisional ST workshop of Peth Road, between 11 am to 4.30 pm. This will be the second mini-auction in the current year.
The ST Corporation has decided to auction scrapped mini buses, aluminium, sheets, power steering, oil, clutch plate, scrap metal and various parts. MSRTC is expecting to earn good revenue through this action and revenue of Rs 3 crore is likely through this.
MSRTC holds an auction of scrap material twice a year. Earlier, the auction was conducted on December 8, 2020. At that time, the Nashik division had topped the entire state and had earned more than Rs 6 crore to put Kolhapur division behind. MSRTC is conducting e-auction on its own and earlier it was conducting an auction through a private contractor.
