So far, 3,000 industries have been restarted and two-wheeler passes have been given to 2,000 people. Large, medium and small scale industries had stated that the condition of bus service by the government was stringent and they were demanding to relax it.

Due to this condition, there were many difficulties in restarting of industries. It was difficult to select workers and to provide the facility of bus service for them. However, administration considering this difficulty took immediate action and has started to give permission for two-wheelers and four-wheelers.

So far, MIDC has issued passes to 626 buses so far, while 2,000 workers from various industries have taken passes for two-wheelers and four-wheelers, informed regional MIDC  officer Nitin Gavali.

Around 5,500 industries filed their applications online and got permission for restarting them. In actual, around 2500 to 3,000 industries have been restarted.

As permission is being given for two-wheelers and four-wheelers instead of bus more industries will come forward to seek permission for the restart and this will help in restoring the industrial area, confided Gavali
