NASHIK: A major fire on Wednesday destroyed the first floor of a capacitors manufacturing unit and raw material worth lakhs of rupees. According to Fire Brigade, the blaze erupted early morning at the Nilraj Industries located in the Satpur MIDC area around 5:30 a.m.
As there were large stocks of plastic and aluminium at the company, the fire rapidly spread to the entire premises. After receiving an alert, four fire tenders rushed to the spot and doused the flames after four hours of struggle. Nobody was injured in incident as only one ship was operating in company when the fire erupted. A total of 25 workers work hard to douse the flames. The cause of fire is yet to be ascertained, stated civic fire station chief Rajendra Bairagi.
