Maha team bags 61 medals

NASHIK: The Maharashtra Team has made the whole state proud by performing extremely well at the National Pencak Silat Championship recently held at Rohtak, Haryana.

The team players bagged 32 gold, 16 silver, and 13 bronze medals, and due to their efforts, Maharashtra State secured third place at the championship. A total of 1700 players from 29 states participated in the championship.

Kishore Yeolale, President, Indian Pinchak Silat Federation, Mohammad Iqbal, Director General, Indian Pinchak Silat Federation, Irfan Bhutto, Treasurer, and Himanshu Grover, Treasurer, Olympic Association, Haryana officiated the inaugural and prize distribution ceremony.

A total of 58 players represented Maharashtra at this championship and showcased a remarkable performance at the national level. Many dignitaries and sports persons congratulated the team for their exceptional performance.
