NASHIK: In the closing ceremony of a threeday philosophical seminar, Mahamahopadhyaya P. Bhadreshdas Swami was honoured with the “Life Time Achievement Award” by the ICPR (Indian Council of Philosophical Research). The three-day seminar under the joint auspices of ICPR (Indian Council of Philosophical Research) and BAPS Swaminarayan Research Institute concluded yesterday with great grandeur.
Eminent scholars across India presented their research papers on the theme, “Different Dimensions of AksharPurushottam Darshan”, at the seminar organized at Swaminarayan Akshardham, New Delhi. Most renowned scholars from different universities, from the University of Delhi to the Tirupati Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeeth, and from the Calcutta College to the Somnath University, presented their research papers. Apart from these, scholars from America and England also participated in this seminar.
Being extremely intellectual and bearer of the ancient Indian philosophical tradition, Swamiji is renowned for his Sanskrit commentaries on the Upanishads, Gita and Brahmasutra. The Aksharpurushottam Darshan (Swaminarayan Darshan), propagated by Swamiji, is a fundamental philosophy based on the principles of Bhagwan Swaminarayan and is a unique heritage of the county.
