Kisan rail’s two coaches derailed

NASHIK: On Tuesday, two coaches of Kisan Railway derailed. The accident took place while the train was going from Pune to Danapur. The speed of the vehicle was low so fortunately, a major accident was avoided. As soon as the information of this incident was received, the staff of the technical department along with the railway officials rushed to the spot, and the work of removing the collapsed coaches was being done at the war level.

The train service to and from Pune has been disrupted due to the accident. This is the second incident of derailment in 15 days in the Manmad area and four accidents have taken place in this area in two months. Fortunately, no casualties were reported in the accident but the functioning of the railway department is being questioned. According to railway sources, the Kisan train with 25 coaches was on its way to Danapur from Pune, at a distance of about 2 km from Manmad, when two coaches derailed.

The speed of the train was low due to its proximity to Manmad station so no major accident took place. Other passenger trains going to Pune were also travelling on the same track on which the accident took place. Fortunately, the major incident was avoided, so everyone breathed a sigh of relief. Fifteen days ago, a freight train derailed under over the bridge of a railway station. Earlier, there was a breakdown at the railway bridge and crossing point near Anankai railway station.

During the Corona period, when the trains were closed for one and a half years, many partial works were completed. On the other hand, the frequent incidents have created panic among the commuters. The three divisions are considered important as the PWI department is responsible for the railway tracks, the CNW is responsible for the coaches, and the SNT department is signal maintenance.
