NASHIK: Inter-district bus services of the Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) has resumed in the unlock phase. The Maharashtra government has permitted the stateowned undertaking to re-start inter-district bus operations, which were stopped after the enforcement of lockdown to contain the spread of Covid-19.
In Nashik, bus service has resumed from new CBS, old CBS and Mahamarg bus stand. All types of ST services are being started in phases. Lalpari (ordinary bus), which has been closed for the last several days, will finally run and these buses will leave from Nashik-1 depot for cities of Dhule, Aurangabad, Chopda, Jalgaon, Nandurbar, Pachora, Shirpur, Pune, Mumbai, and Borivali.
Buses will be made available at the convenience of the passengers. Passengers in ST travel must strictly follow all the rules of Covid-19 laid down by the government. 50 per cent of the passenger capacity of the bus will be carried by bus and regular disinfection of the buses will be done.
Also, the number of bus trips will be increased keeping in view the response of the passengers in addition to the scheduled timetable. Passengers will have to wear masks and abide by other terms and conditions. Bus service has been started. All the passengers including those providing essential services should take advantage of it, an appeal has been made by Nashik ST Corporation.
