Nashik: The Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examination, which is conducted by Maharashtra State Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board is beginning today (Feb. 18). A total of 1,66,178 students in Nashik division will appear for the first paper of English, between 11 am to 2 pm, while a total of 75,343 students in Nashik district will appear for the paper. Seven flying squads have formed to prevent copying instances.
A total of 66,718 students from arts faculty, 23,874 students from commerce faculty, 69,337 students from science faculty and 6,549 students from MCVC faculty are among the students in the division. The examination will continue till March 18.
Instructions have been given that headmasters should give guidance to students for a day in a week to ensure that they should appear for papers with a free mind. As the highest number of copying instances have been registered in Jalgaon district in the division, special attention has been given to it this time.
Education board is informing that special workshop of concerned centre directors was organised to ensure copy free examination and instruction booklet has been distributed. The number of flying squads has also been increased this time.
