The ruling and opposition groups are forming a front against each other for elections. Candidate interviews have started through meetings and gatherings. Since the post of General Secretary is important and powerful, the group to which this post goes will have the influence in management.

The ruling party is likely to back Samarth Shakti’s Sachin Dhomse and former general secretary Sanjay Kute for the post. Meanwhile, as the number of aspirants is significant, the group head will have to work hard to select a candidate.
