Accordingly, the agriculture department has provided all the relevant information to the farmers on how to avail the benefits of the insurance scheme immediately after the planting of crops.

The aim of the government is to protect the crop of the farmers by compelling them to take up crop insurance scheme in more and more numbers.

For the effective implementation of the scheme, each district has been instructed to set up an action committee at the government level. Also, for the purpose, a target to enrol 100 farmers has been set to each action committee.

Coordinating committees have also been formed at tehsil level. So far 4000 farmers have been provided guidance through 23 meetings held in the district through these independent committees.

A planning has been done mainly keeping kharif season in mind. According to the agriculture department, demos have been conducted at 2,250 places in the district especially to guide farmers on soybean cultivation.

The agriculture department is well prepared for the pre-kharif season. For this, the state agriculture minister, guardian minister and the district collector have issued instructions from time to time and with focus on kharif sowing activity. This year, kharif planning of each village has been done through 528 agriculture assistants and agriculture supervisors.
