A team of State Excise Department raided illegal stockpiling of liquor and about 2,500 sealed bottles of domestic liquor worth Rs 1.62 lakh were seized at Vilholi Shivar near here on Friday.
A team of the state excise department had received information that illegal liquor was being sold in Nashik district.
Acting on a tip-off, Deputy Inspector R R Dhanwate, M R Telangana, and other police set a trap in Vilholi Shivara in Nashik taluka on Friday.
In a house, the team seized 2,500 sealed bottles of 180 ml of domestic liquor for sale in Madhya Pradesh worth about Rs 1 lakh 62 thousand.
Two person Navnath chandu Thongade (26, resident of Mhasrul, Nashik) and Prakash Kanaylal Khemani (59, resident of Nashik) arrested in this connection and case was filed against them.
