Leader of Opposition Devendra Fadnavis has slammed the tripartite government coalition-Maharashtra Vikas Aghadi(MVA)-over cabinet expansion and farmers’ issues.
Fadnavis’ scathing comments on the MVA have come on eve of the Maharashtra Assembly session here.
He said that several days have passed since the government was formed but the cabinet expansion has not been done yet.
“Due to lack of communication between the three parties, no decision has been taken over who will be the head of which department, ” he asserted.
“A number questions have arisen over the cabinet expansion and distribution of portfolios,” he added.
“They got so much time before winter session and still there is no sign of cabinet expansion which shows that the government is not serious about the session,” former CM Fadnavis said.
Clamping down on the Shiv Sena for stopping work started by the previous BJP government, he said, “Earlier Shiv Sena was with us and all the decisions were taken together. Now the same Shiv Sena is oppossing all those decisions and stopping work.”
He alleged that the MVA government is spreading misinformation about Maharashtra’s financial condition.
“The Shiv Sena earlier demanded Rs 25,000 per farmer and now CM Uddhav Thackeray-led government should implement it at the earliest,” he said.
“The government should disburse Rs 23,000 crore to the farmers for waiving their outstanding loans,” he added.
Starting from December 16, the winter session of the State legislature will conclude on December 21.
