Credai undertakes tree plantation drive

NASHIK: The Credai Nashik Metro has decided to plant a total of 50,000 saplings in Nashik city for oxygen production in a natural way. The drive was inaugurated on Sunday at Parijat Nagar. The saplings were planted on an open space here. MLA Devyani Pharande who was present as chief guest on the occasion praised the contribution made by Credai Nashik Metro during the Covid-19 period.

She suggested that Credai should plant more medicinal plants. Dr Raj Nagarkar, Dr Atul Wadgaonkar, Dr Vinod Vision, Dr Bharat Trivedi, Dr Shetkar, Dr Sheetal Gupta, Dr Rajendra Bhandari, Dr Mohan Patel and Dr Manoj Chopda were honoured in a representational form on the occasion who treated Covid-19 patients in the city.

Chief of national constitution committee off Credai Jitubhai Thakkar and secretary of Credai Maharashtra Sunil Kotwal on the occasion guided those who were present and appealed to suggested space for tree plantation drive. Corporator Shivaji Gangurde, Shekhar Gaiwad, former president of Credai Sursh Patil and others were present. Joint secretary Anil Aher compered the programme, while Krunal Patil proposed the vote of thanks.

With the plantation of 50,000 saplings, the beauty of the city will be enhanced. Credai Nashik Metro has formed a committee to take care of the saplings after their plantation.
