Commuters disappointed as CR cancels Panchavati Express

MANMAD: Daily commuters have expressed their anguish over the cancellation of 18 Express trains including Mumbai-Manmad-Mumbai Panchavati Express today, as the train service was resumed after a long period following the ease in the pandemic situation.

Central Railway will operate a special infrastructure block between Thane and Diva for commissioning of Thane-Diva 5th and 6th lines and crossovers at Diva (North) for diversion of trains today (December 19). The block will be operated from 08.00 am of Sunday to 02.00 am of Monday. The block will be operated on Up and Dn slow lines due to this the trains to and fro Mumbai on the central line will be affected and 18 trains will be out of track, informed CR officials. The cancelled tains include Panchavati Express, Jalna Express, Amaravati Express and Nandigram Express.

Cancelled express trains (Sunday)

Mumbai-Manmad-Mumbai Panchavati Express, Amravati-Mumbai Express, Nanded-Mumbai Express, Kolhapur-Mumbai Koyna Express; Mumbai-Pune-Mumbai Deccan Express, Mumbai-Jalna-Mumbai Janshatabdi Express, Mumbai-Adilabad Nandigram Express, Mumbai-Pune-Mumbai Deccan Queen, Mumbai-Amravati Express, Mumbai-Gadag Express, Mumbai-Nanded Express, Mumbai-Kolhapur Koyna Express.

Cancelled trains (Monday)

Adilabad-Mumbai Nandigram Express, Gadag-Mumbai Express, Hubballi-Dadar Express and Dadar-Hubballi Express will be short terminated.
