Chandrakishore Patil honoured as Paryavaran Doot

Nashik Municipal Corporation honoured Chandrakishore Patil as Paryavaran Doot on the occasion of Republic Day for his remarkable contribution to the conservation of the Nandini river.

On this occasion, Municipal Commissioner Dr Commissioner Chandrakant Pulkundwar felicitated him by giving him a shawl, Shrifal and badge of honour. Meanwhile, additional commissioner Pradeep Chaudhary, deputy commissioner Vijay Kumar Munde, and Dr Avesh Palod of Godavari Conservation Cell along with all senior officials and employees were present.

Across the world, our rivers, reservoirs, lakes, and seas are flooded by waste, plastic, chemicals, and other pollutants. This widespread problem of water pollution is jeopardising the health of people in villages, towns, and cities. The magnitude of the problem led Patil, a resident of Indiranagar to take a stand and work towards mitigating this problem in the Godavari River.
