NASHIK: Former chairperson of Panchavati divisional ward committee and corporator Sunita Pingale honoured beneficiaries. Divisional Officer Vivek Dhande, superintendent in charge of Panchavati division Bhushan Deshmukh, Dattu Sanap and Kishore Nikam were present as the chief guests at the function which was held at NMC’s Panchavati divisional office.
Under the Specially Abled Adult Unemployment Scheme run by the Corporation’s Social Welfare Department, a monthly grant of Rs. 2,000 was started to the beneficiaries Sunanda Bajirao Date and Ramdas Punjaji Murtadak. Specially abled Yogita and Nikita Dhondiram Bhadange from Krantinagar were also given a benefit of Rs 2,000 per month.
Jaya Manik Pingale and Nirmala Kashinath Pingale from Makhmalabad village were given financial assistance of Rs. 1 lakh by the Women and Child Welfare Department of the Corporation for the marriage of their daughters. Tulsa Uttam Page from Makhmalabad was also given a grant of Rs 2 lakh through the National Family Benefit Scheme of the Central Government after the death of her husband.
She was also given the benefit of a monthly plan. Similarly, Activists including Dnyaneshwar Pingale, Narayan Kakad and others are working hard for the propagation of these schemes.
Sunita Pingale has started an initiative four years ago to give information and guidance on various government schemes for the disabled, mentally retarded as well as widows and senior citizens in Panchavati. She is also pursuing the matter to give benefits of the various schemes to the beneficiaries. To date, she has provided benefit of various schemes to the beneficiaries, including women.
