Awareness about vaccination through a short film

NASHIK: A short film has been produced by local artists to remove misconception about vaccination from the minds of people and to create awareness about the programme. It has cautioned against rumour-mongers and created awareness to overcome fear.

The Jal Parishad family, which is famous in the district, has come together to produce a short film called “Bheeti” (fear) to create awareness about COVID19 vaccination. Currently, the cases of Corona has decreased in Nashik district. The administration, meanwhile, says vaccination is important right now. But there is a misconception that many people in rural tribal areas do not get vaccinated.

Against this backdrop, the Jal Parishad team shot the film at Khadakohol near Harsul. It has now been shared on social media. Specially, while producing this short film, they have used local artists using local language. The film has been conceptualised by Rakesh Dalvi and Giteshwar Khotre with the support of artists Raman Khutade, Chhabibai Khutade, Anjana Chaudhary, Durvadas Gaikwad, Vinayak Gavit, Dashrath Bhoye, Sanjay Gawli and local police Patil.

The entire shoot has been done at Khadakohol. The short film has been made to dispel misconceptions and rumours among the people about COVID-19 and vaccination. Many citizens over the age of 45 in rural areas are worried about vaccination. Also, rumours are being spread by some rumourmongers in rural areas about jab. Awareness has been created through the short film to allay the fears from the mind of the citizens.
