Nashik: There is a rise in atrocities against women and girls for the last some years. Various types of guidance and training are being given to them from the government level for dealing with these effectively.
The woman and child welfare department of Zilla Parishad is conducting a scheme regarding this. Free training of judo and karate has been given to a total of 6666 girls and women so far in the last 2-3 years.
The woman and child welfare department is conducting this training scheme to empower women and girls physically and for their physical development. The training is given to girls studying in standard IVth to SSC in Zilla Parishad run schools, college going girls and those interested women teachers in the schools.
