322 cases in district; 276 in city

NASHIK: Nashik District is witnessing a sudden rise in Covid-19 cases, thus increasing the growing concerns regarding the pandemic’s third wave. On Tuesday, the district registered 322 cases, and Nashik City registered 276 cases. With the addition of 322 cases, the district’s pandemic tally rose to 4,14,755 cases. As 109 citizens recovered from the virus, the recovery tally rose to 4,04,953.

Out of the 322 cases, 276 were registered in Nashik Municipal Corporation’s limits, raising the tally of positive patients to 2,33,590. The recovered patients tally within NMC limits stands at 2,28,779. Nashik Rural registered 32 cases, leading the positive patients tally to 1,58,413. While the recovered patients tally in Nashik Rural stands at 1,53,950.

A total of two patients tested positive in Malegaon Municipal Corporation limits, increasing the positive patients tally to 12,718. MMC’s recovered patients tally stands at 12,350.

A total of 12 patients of other districts tested positive in Nashik District on Tuesday. As one person from Nashik Rural succumbed to the virus, the pandemic death tally stands at 8,759. NMC’s recovery rate stands at 97.94%, Nashik Rural at 97.18%, and MMC at 97.11%.

The cases in the district are witnessing a gradual rise. With the growing concerns around Covid-19 new variant Omicron, citizens need to keep themselves safe and follow SMS (social distancing, mask, and sanitation) to prevent the third wave. Everyone needs to get vaccinated in the wake of the third wave.
