29 lakh citizens vaccinated in division

NASHIK: A total of 29,13,606 citizens have been vaccinated in the Nashik division so far. The division received a total of 32,63,080 doses of Covid19 vaccine and 3,49,474 vaccine doses are left, informed deputy director (health) Dr P D Gandal in a circular reached here. The state government has undertaken a vaccination drive in the state since January 16.

The drive is being implemented in Nashik, Ahmednagar, Dhule, Jalgaon and Nandurbar districts. Ahmednagar district received a total of 8,00530 doses. Of them, a total of 6,85,141 citizens have been vaccinated. In the category of over 45 years, a total of 4,19,570 citizens have been given the first dose, while the second dose has been given to 1,21,740 citizens.

A total of 43,032 health workers have been administered the first dose, while the second dose has been given to 23,954 citizens. On the other, 41,745 front line workers have been administered the first dose, while the second dose has been given to a total of 14,975 workers.

Nashik tops division

Nashik district received a total of 11,30,260 doses. Of them, a total of 10,13,537 citizens have been vaccinated. With this Nashik has topped the division. The first dose has been given to 6,30,091 citizens in the category of over 45 years, while the 1,54,904 citizens have been given the second dose. A total of 64,138 health care workers have been given the first dose, while the second dose has been administered to 31,126 workers. 84,891 front line workers have been given the first dose, while 32,792 workers have been administered the second dose. The first dose has been given to a total of 13,057 citizens who are in the 18-44 age group, while 2,538 citizens have been administered the second dose.
