233 colleges in district closed

NASHIK: State Higher and Technical Education Minister Uday Samant has decided to close hostels along with colleges till February 15. Due to this decision, 233 colleges in Nashik district will also be closed. Therefore, the rest of the courses and exams will have to be taken online. Colleges and dormitories were closed due to increasing cases of omicron variant. The sudden closure of the college has sparked outrage among the students.

Students who are not yet aware of this decision will be notified on the notice board of the college. College professors will be instructed in a meeting on which instructions to follow.

As ST Corporation buses are closed, students going out of town will have to travel in private vehicles. The decision has sparked resentment among students. Some colleges are planning to complete the exam immediately. Meanwhile, after the closure of colleges, all eyes are now on the decision regarding schools and junior colleges.

“It has been decided to close the colleges immediately as per the government order.mStudents’ exams and lectures will be conducted online. Higher and Technical Education Minister Uday Samant has directed to complete the remaining courses online.
