NASHIK: Shiv Sena undertook a big blood donation movement in Nashik to cultivate social commitment. More than 1352 bags of blood collected through 26 camps was the result of this, stated Shiv Sena metropolitan chief Sudhakar Badgujar. He was speaking at the inauguration of the blood donation camp held at Siddhavinayak temple in the Jadhav complex area on Ambad link road.
The camp was organized by Shiv Sena corporator Madhukar Jadhav. A total of 60 donors including Kishore Sonwane, Ganesh Shevkar and others donated their blood. Responding to the call of Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, the Shiv Sena started a ‘Blood for Nation’ movement in Nashik and it is a matter of pride that more bags of blood were collected than the target due to the spontaneous response of Shiv Sainiks and Nashik residents, said former minister Babanrao Gholap.
District chief Vijay Karanjkar, opposition leader Ajay Boraste, former district chief Sunil Bagul, Dutta Gaikwadand others were present on the occasion. Anil Ghanwat, Arti Sheersath and others provided special support for the camp.
