‘Power on Wheels’ by MSEDCL
NASHIK: Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd has started a mobile electricity distribution system to provide temporary electric supply in case of break downs. Many times electric supplies have a break due to the power failure or natural calamities.
In that situation, people face inconvenience. But now MSEDCL has solved this problem by launching power on wheels which is a mobile transformer that will provide temporary electric supply. MSEDCL has set up a mobile transformer for power distribution.
If in case there is power supply breakdown in a particular area due to transformer problems and there is a break till the repairs are done and supply resumes, the power on wheels mobile transformer will supply 200 kvs power from the mains electricity line supply. This means that the system will work where the main electric supply lines are intact. This project has HV and LV protection. It has an isolated system. There also is a meter installed to know how much power is supplied through the transformer.
