MSEDCL introduces bill payment receipt on plain paper
Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd. (MSEDCL) has started to give electricity bill payment receipts on a plain white paper, instead of computerised receipts. The implementation of this project has been started in 25 city divisions including Nashik city I and II, Malegaon. The project was inaugurated by chief engineer Brijpalsingh Janveer by giving electricity bill payment receipt on a plain paper to consumers at Duttaji Deshmukh credit society in the campus of Vidyut Bhavan, Nashik Road.
MSEDCL is giving computerised electricity bill payment to consumers to deposit electricity bill payment by them into their accounts in time and accurately. Now, consumers will get electricity bill payment receipt having a computerised number on a plain white paper. Consumers can verify electricity bill payment using this number on MSEDCL website or mobile app.
Along with this, consumers will receive a message regarding the payment of electricity bill on their registered mobile numbers. Considering this consumer should verify that their receipts will have the computerised number and do not pay the bill without a computerised receipt. They should reject handwritten receipts and inform about this to a nearby MSEDCL office, MSEDCL is urging.
MSEDCL is introducing various facilities for the ease of consumers. As a part of this, it has connected all its electricity bill payment centres (barring post office) to a centralised computer system. A concession of 0.25% is being given to those consumers who are paying their electricity bills online.
