Depositor struggle committee to organise direct march to state assembly


Nashik : The Maharashtra state depositor struggle committee decided to organise a direct march to state assembly during its winter session to press for to return money of depositors by selling of properties of debt-ridden banks and credit societies in state and to take action against concerned.
The committee organised a convention of depositors at Hutatma Smarak. Discussions over BHR, Tapi, Kapaleshwar, Zulelal credit capital, Agrasen, Sinnar Vyapari, Badhe credit society, Shriram cooperative bank, Girna Bank, Maitreya and Samruddhi in a meeting held under committee president Shrikrishna Shirode.

While providing his guidance to investors who are duped by various credit societies and in ponzy schemes, Shirode urged them to come together. Money of people in Nashik city as well as various parts in the city has been stuck in various cooperative credit societies. Employees of nationalised banks as well as higher officials working in various government departments are among the investors.

However, most investors are retired employees or senior citizens and Shirode urged them to come together to get their deposits return. He said that all depositors should come together to get their money and they can get money if there are united efforts. It was decided that everyone would come together and organise a march to the state assembly.

Depositors of Kapaleshwar credit society expressed their strong emotions. As receiver of Bhaichand Hirachand Raisoni credit society has not done any substantial work since last two-and-half years, a proposal to sack him was unanimously approved.

Sanjeev Sonawane, Rajendra Bhavsar, Vishnu Shinde, Chandrakant Thakur and depositors from Nashik, Yeola, Sinnar, Dindori, Igatpuri, Pune and Ahmednagar were present.
