Delayed housing projects finally get DCB nod


Deolali Camp : The Deolali Cantonment Board (DCB) has finally sanctioned delayed housing projects and various development works at its 5-hour-long marathon meet. The meeting passed off smoothly and peacefully with some historic decisions and holding polling in certain cases.

Chaired by DCB president Brig Pradeep Kaul, the historic Board meeting was largely attended by vice president Dinkar Adhav, corporator Baburao Mojad, Sachin Thakre, Bhagwan Kataria, Kaveri Kasar, Prabhavati Dhivare, Asha Godse, Meena Karanjkar, Brig S M Sundubarekar, Major Piyush Jain, Colonel Sanjay Kapoor, Col Kamlesh Chavan, squadron leader Jasmeet Singh, CEO Vilas Pawar and representatives from district collectorate.

The meeting sanctioned a number of pending civic works including women lavatory at Mulla Complex, road connectivity to cremation ground, construction of toilets for the slum dwellers, removal of encroachments etc besides giving its green signal to the much delayed housing projects. The board also decided to look positively into various civic issues raised by retired Brig and former DCB president Anil Garg connected to traffic bottlenecks, unauthorised hoardings, mandaps, noise pollution due to DJ music system etc.
