Decision to shut schools; Chhatrabharati Sanghatana burns govt circular


Nashik : The Chhatrabharati Sanghatana burned a copy of government circular regarding a decision to shut 1300 schools in state. Education Minister Vinod Tawade decided to shut these schools. It was alleged that the decision was taken to provide momentum to privatisation of schools.
During the agitation which was staged near Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar statue at Shalimar Chowk, the copy of government circular was burned and it was demanded to take the decision back.

The number of students in around 1300 government aided schools is below 10. Education department has decided to shut them due to this. The Education Minister has also instructed to deny entry for students if they arrive late at examination centre.

The Chhatrabharati Sanghatana also condemned this. A question was also asked why government had not taken efforts since last three years to improve quality of education and to increase number of students. The government should take this decision back considering loss the parents will suffer after closure of these schools, it was demanded.

Rakesh Pawar, Samadhan Bagul, Ram Suryawanshi, Sagar Nikam, Vishal Ranmale and others were present.
