CP inspects smart road
Nashik: The Commissioner of Police Vishwas Nangre Patil and officials of Smart City company on Friday inspected the smart road between Meher signal to Ashok Stambh. They conducted the inspection as office bearers of Ganesh Mandals insisted on to organise immersion procession by traditional route.
The officials expressed confidence to complete the road work till Ganeshotsav. Nangre Patil, chief executive officer of Smart City company Prakash Thavil, deputy commissioner of police Amol Tambe and senior police inspector of Sarkarwada police station Hemant Somvanshi inspected the road in the afternoon.
The Commisioner of Police issued some instructions over road improvement and asked to complete work to provide a relief to Mandals. Thavil instructed the contractor to complete work earlier. Ganesh Mandals in the city in a memorandum to the Municipal Commissioner and Commisioner of Police to complete the work of the smart road earlier.
Nangre Patil also visited the office of Nashik Municipal Smart City Development Corporation to set up a police control room there on the backdrop of upcoming Ganeshotsav He stated that there is a need to work in coordination with the police administration, traffic police branch and smart city to provide security and facilities to the citizens.
Nangare-Patil also said that awareness programmes will be organised in coordination with police administration, traffic branch and Smart City company to discipline traffic in the city. He also discussed the issue of smart parking. There is a need for smart parking schemes to discipline the traffic, the CP said.
