NASHIK :
As the Centre is continuously ramping up efforts to cripple the COVID-19 crisis, the Health and Family Welfare Department has set up a COVID-19 testing facility in the district of Dhule, roughly at a three-hour distance from here.
The facility, Virus Research and Diagnostic Laboratory, has been instituted at the Bhausaheb Hire Government Medical College in Dhule.
The lab will serve to the five districts of Ahmednagar, Dhule, Jalgaon, Nandurbar and Nashik in northern Maharashtra.
Earlier, the samples were sent to the Pune-based NIV lab and treatment couldn’t be started till reports came. Now, the new testing facility will provide reports on same day hence speeding up the medical process.
